In a bid to improve efficiency and accessibility in dispute resolution, the Nepal Arbitration Centre (NAC) has launched its new Digital Case Management System (DCMS). The platform allows parties, arbitrators, and institutions to manage arbitration cases entirely online—from filing disputes to tracking progress and scheduling hearings.

With features such as secure document uploads, automated notifications, virtual hearing capabilities, and case tracking dashboards, the NAC’s platform is set to become a game-changer for arbitration in Nepal. It significantly reduces paperwork, travel, and administrative delays, particularly benefiting parties in remote locations or with international affiliations.

“The digital system brings transparency and speed to arbitration proceedings,” said Srijana Karki, Director at NAC. “It allows users to stay informed and involved at every stage of the process.”

Legal professionals and business groups have praised the launch, highlighting its potential to increase trust in arbitration. The platform supports both domestic and cross-border disputes, and provides resources such as procedural guides, code of conduct, and model clauses to assist new users.

This initiative is in line with Nepal’s broader strategy to modernize its legal infrastructure and promote ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) methods. By integrating technology into the arbitration process, the NAC aims to make arbitration more accessible, especially for SMEs and startups.
