The Nepal International Arbitration Summit is a prestigious two-day event designed to elevate Nepal’s position in global dispute resolution. Organized by the Nepal Arbitration Forum (NAF) and supported by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and UNCITRAL, this summit brings global expertise to Kathmandu.
Day 1 will cover regional trends in cross-border arbitration, investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS), and institutional innovations in South Asia. Sessions will include roundtable discussions led by representatives from SIAC, ICC Paris, and BIAC, providing case insights from the region.
Interactive panels will examine arbitration in evolving sectors such as fintech, intellectual property, and digital commerce. Panelists will address how emerging technologies like AI and blockchain are being integrated into the arbitration process.
Day 2 will explore enforcement mechanisms, challenges in implementing arbitral awards in Nepal, and public-private partnership disputes. Sessions on tribunal diversity, neutrality of institutions, and ethics will add depth to the discussion.
Participants will benefit from B2B networking opportunities, curated breakout rooms, and informal meetups with international practitioners. A legal tech expo will showcase arbitration platforms, transcription services, and virtual hearing tools.
The summit will conclude with a keynote on “Arbitration for Sustainable Development,” followed by a joint declaration on strengthening arbitration institutions and promoting fair access. A gala dinner will celebrate the contributions of key individuals advancing Nepal’s ADR ecosystem.
All attendees will receive a digital certificate, session recordings, and a printed arbitration handbook compiled by NAF.
